Portal Matters
This policy explains how Portal Matters collects, uses, protects, and retains information, including phone numbers used for transactional account-security SMS.
Portal Matters may collect account details, organization details, contact information, phone numbers, NPI or practice identifiers, usage records, and information submitted through onboarding or provider-data workflows.
We use information to create and secure accounts, verify identity, support onboarding, operate provider-data workflows, respond to support requests, and maintain platform reliability.
Phone numbers may be used to send transactional SMS messages for account verification, login security, password reset, and one-time verification codes. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Users may reply STOP to opt out and HELP for assistance.
SMS consent is used only for transactional account and security messaging. We do not share or sell SMS consent or phone numbers to third parties for marketing.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect data. We retain information for as long as needed to operate the platform, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain audit records.
Where Portal Matters processes regulated healthcare information under an applicable agreement, we handle that information according to the relevant contractual and legal obligations. This policy does not by itself create a Business Associate Agreement or guarantee that every feature is intended for protected health information.
